September's MVVM talks
I have a couple of talks coming up at the end of this month.
Tuesday, 27th September
I'll be at Auckland .NET User Group giving a 200-level introduction to MVVM.
The focus of the talk will be on trying to explain what MVVM is, why it works for XAML technologies (and how it's even creeping into html with frameworks like knockout.js!) and when you should look at using it.
If we have time and/or inclination we can dig a little deeper into some of the stuff that often sits round the fringes of the pattern...
Thursday, 29th September
Time to jump on a plane and head on down to Welling-town to talk at our sister SLAMD group (They came up with the name, not us!)
This time it's much deeper dive into Rob Eisenberg's inspirational MVVM framework Caliburn.Micro - we'll talk about Actions, Conventions, Coroutines, Extensibility, UI Composition and who knows what else. Fun times :)
And didn't you hear the news? Turns out XAML isn't dead after //build/
Hope to see you at one event or the other.
